Lockdown Birthdays: London Edition

Hopefully we’ll be saying goodbye to the lockdown birthday’s soon. After a full year dominated by COVID, it’s safe to say we’ve all missed the partying and nightclubs. I don’t really get it when people say they’re too stressed to go to busy places after lockdown. Personally, I can’t wait to be surround by sweaty drunk people as I wrestle my ass to the front of the bar. I can’t wait to be in a room with thousands of people when I finally go see JLS this summer. COVID cost us a year of our lives, so why make it traumatise you further?

For those with Birthdays in March-May, lockdown is a bit more painful. My housemate and best mate has just spent her second birthday in Lockdown, but this time it was away from her family and home country. So I was determined to make it as special as possible. London is probably one of the best places to try have fun in lockdown. The people are ambitious and the businesses are innovative in their ways to make money. Nothing that violates guidelines, but you can still grab a takeout cocktail for your walk around London .

So I planned a birthday celebration to remember, and one on a budget. It was a great day that felt like a week. I thought I’d share some photos of the day before I follow up with a more in depth post on what we got up to.

Happy Birthday Leah!
